Mingle's project export / import feature allows users to move project across instances. Several times this option is used by our customers as they move their projects from our hosted instance to their local instance. The project export carries all the user information ( users part of the team on the project). When the project is imported on the new instance, it also imports the users but not their passwords. In such a situation while Mingle will contain their profiles, users will not be able to login. To overcome the problem, please use the 'recover password' feature. For the feature to be available it requires that you configure your Mingle instance with a SMTP server. To know more about it, please refer to: http://www.thoughtworks-studios.com/mingle/3.3.1/help/configure_email_settings_page.html
