Hello,
There seems to be a lot of network traffic between our mingle server and subversion server.
I already changed the subversion repository configuration to point to our subversion server on the local network by IP but that did not do much.
Whenever i reboot the mingle server the traffic between the 2 nodes literally drops to nothing. It stays that way until mingle initiates a call to our subversion server. Trafffic then remains at that level.
Is there a reason why Mingle is constantly touching our subversion server? Is there a setting that can limit or a way we can throttle the interaction?
Thanks
Jen
btw, we are on mingle version 2.3.1 & subversion 1.6.3

Hi Jen and all,
We're having the same problem. Anybody got a suggestion how to limit this?

Hi Lisa,
At the time when i discovered this issue, i checked with mingle support and was informed they suspect that it is a bug in SVNKit.jar 1.2.0: http://svnkit.com/tracker/view.php?id=280
This bug says it opens a new TCP connection for every DAV request. A fronted subversion with Apache, which uses the KeepAlive http header entry that this bug mentions.v3.0 should fix the network traffic issue to subversion.
Im now on v3.0 and it still seems to be a problem. Have you upgraded to v3 yet?
Thanks
Jen
Hi Jen,
No, we're still on 2.3.1. I've asked the tech people to look into the issue but nothing from them yet. I'll let you know if we've got any news.
