We are using Mingle to hold our defects (card type in each project). Recently, we have found the requirement to have defects logged that are not assigned to a particular project, but can at a later time be assigned to a project or multiple projects or all projects. Knowing a bit about Mingle and how it works, I don't think this is built in functionality, but please, let me know if I'm wrong.
What I was thinking was to create a global "Defects" project which holds all the defects for all projects with the property within the defect card, namely "Project" that would designate what project the defect belongs to. The issue of course is multi-select capability. Does Mingle have this yet? Will it soon?
The second challenge to that approach is that we would need to be able to schedule the cards from the global project into iterations within the specific projects if the "Project" property matched that of the specific project identifier. I guess we would need global iteration cards to do this rather than project-specific ones? Also, how would we create a Defect card wall within a project that would go into the Defects project and query for all defect cards with Project='x'?? Many questions but hoping someone out there can provide a bit of guidance.
Thanks a lot.
Vedran.
