    Hi Wes,

I just replied to you via the support ticket, but i am copying the response below again

"When you perform project import / export, the passwords are not carried forward and this is by design. This was done as a security measure. To allow users to reset their passwords, you can configure your instance with a SMTP server and have the users use the 'Forgotten your password?" option on the login screen. Please note that for this to work users need to have their email address updated in their profile prior to the project export.".

Please let us know if this helps.

To add some additional info for anyone else reading this...

Arun is spot on with his reply. The other way to migrate a project is to move the entire database. This means all of your projects would be migrated in bulk. You also must move your attachments manually, since those are not stored in the database. One advantage to this approach is that the passwords remain intact.

Thanks Matt, another good idea but unfortunately one that will not work as we are moving from postgresql to oracle (not my choice).

Right... the export/import approach is definitely the best way to move from one database to another.
