    This is actually an interesting topic. Choice adds unnecessary complexity to software, confusing users and making adoption and support more expensive. Developers love to add features because they think users will like the plethora of stuff they can do. Users love simplicity because they don’t have to spend time making choices over options they don’t understand and don’t want to have to understand.


    I keep this on my white board, “Ease of use is everything.” It applies to all facets of software product development from UX to the selling motion and the business model.
