Just finished upgrading cruise->Go - the agent service appears to start fine, but the server fails. I can't find any info in the logs or the event viewer as to why. I am running on windows 2003 r2, using a windows domain user account for the service (same as the agent). The user has local admin rights on the machine.
If I execute the server using the batch command, it does start... it just won't start as a service.
Any pointers would be welcome - my other option is to uninstall everything and try a clean install instead of the upgrade, but I am reluctant to go that route if I don't have to..
Thanks,
M.

Hi,
What edition and version of Go are you using?
You said that you are able to start the server manually. Is it working fine after the startup, or are you seeing any errors?
Can you send across the server log, so that we can have a look at it for you?
Regards
Shilpa
I was able to get things sorted out by doing an unsintall of the cruise server, and a re-install. After that, I was able to start the service using the service account. I was also able to copy/paste the config file over so didn't lose anything...
Glad it worked out for you.
Thanks for reporting the issue though.
Hi
Can you send us the server logs so that we can investigate this issue?

I am sorry - I had a look at my backup and I don't have the logs from the first upgrade attemp: the backup I made only contained the config and db files.
The only difference I can find though is that the original server install was in program files\cruise and the new one is in program files\go - I am wondering perhaps if it was to do with permissions settings on the directory...
The new install is working perfectly..
Thats alright.
Thanks.
