You can add a velocity chart to your project using this mark-up:
conditions: Type = Sprint
x-labels-start: 'Sprint 100'
x-labels-end: 'Sprint 110'
- label: Velocity
data: SELECT Name, Sum(Velocity) ORDER BY Number
I've underlined the three places where you may need to swap in other values:
- Type = Sprint -- Which card type contains the velocity data? This typically is Sprint or Iteration
- x-labels-start / end -- Indicates the start and end value on the x axis. This example uses the "Name" property but that can be problematic if there are non-sprint (or iteration cards) that fall within that range.
SELECT Name, Sum(Velocity) ORDER BY Number -- this is the query that feeds data to the chart. The first value you select is determines the X-axis location of each value, the second value you select determines the Y-axis location of each value.
That markup produces this chart:
This example works because my project has an aggregate property called "Velocity". If you don't have a tree aggregate that calculates velocity, either create one or make these changes to the mark-up:
conditions: Type = Story
SELECT Sprint, Sum('Story Points') ORDER BY Sprint
