Group rights for templates
The new ability to edit templates without being an admin is a welcomed feature. The maintenance, however, is somewhat cumbersome.
In our environment, we will end up giving all users rights to edit most of our templates. We easily have a couple hundred templates. This will then require us, initially, to cut-and-paste the "authorization" xml section into the config file for every template. After that, if we have a new user, we will then have to add that user to the authorization list for every template again.
As you can see, this is not the ideal way to manage the template authorization. What would be nice is a broader way to add access. For instance, maybe you could add the ability to give access by role (say, all users in the developer role) or similar.
Maybe I'm missing something and there is a better way to do this?
Thanks in advance.
